Johnny Gill
 Johnny Gill wurde am 22.05.1966 in Washington D.C. geboren. Die Werke von Johnny Gill wurden unter anderem von Luther Vandross und Sam Cooke beeinflusst. Die verschiedenen Musikstile (R&B, New-Jack-Swing) erinnern an ähnliche R&B-Bands und Künstler, wie Keith Sweat oder Color Me Badd.
Johnny Gill sang in der Formation "New Edition", in der u.a. auch Bobby Brown, Ralph Tresvant, Ricky Bell, Michael Bivins und Ronnie DeVoe sangen.
Johnny's grösster Hit "Rub You the Right Way" der aus dem Album "Johnny Gill" (1990) stammt, schaffte es bis auf Platz 3 der US-Charts.
Nach einer 15 jährigen Pause veröffentlichte er im Oktober 2011 sein 6. Album "Still Winning".
