The Centurions
The Centurions were a surf rock band from Newport Beach, California, active in the late 1950s and early 1960s. In recent times, they are best known for the recording "Bullwinkle Part II", a dark and saxy surf tune from the eponymous album featured in Quentin Tarantino's "Pulp Fiction". Less well known is the use of "Intoxica," a twangy and upbeat surf instrumental, in John Waters' 1972 film, "Pink Flamingos".

Their name changed from The Centurions to The Centurians somewhere after 1967 due legal reasons. When they released their album in '64, it's covers got mixed with another artist's release. Hence the name "Surfers pajama party" - which wasn't the name The Centurions had had in mind.
